Make a study guide from your notes
Paste a chapter, lecture notes or slides — or upload a PDF — and this AI study guide generator writes a guide with the key concepts, terms and review questions. You can turn the same material into a quiz or flashcards too.
How it works
- Paste your material or upload a text-based PDF.
- Choose study guide, quiz or flashcards.
- Read the guide as it's written, then download it, print it or share the link.
What people use it for
Before an exam
Turn a week of lecture notes into one page of key concepts and a term table you can review the night before.
After a reading assignment
Upload the chapter PDF and get an overview plus five questions to check you actually understood it.
For teachers
Draft a review sheet for a unit in a minute, then edit it before handing it out.
Questions
What's in the study guide?
An overview, the key concepts with short bullet points, a table of key terms and definitions, a summary of what to remember, and five review questions.
Can it make a study guide from a PDF?
Yes. Choose Upload PDF and pick a text-based PDF such as lecture slides exported to PDF or a textbook chapter. Scanned pages without selectable text won't work yet.
How is this different from a study guide template?
A template gives you empty headings to fill in. The generator reads your material and fills them in for you, so you start from a finished draft and spend your time reviewing instead of copying.
Is it free?
Yes. You can try it once a day without signing up, and a free account gets 5 generations a month, for PDFs up to 10 pages or about 15,000 characters of text. Pro adds 200 generations a month and PDFs up to 100 pages.
What happens to the file I upload?
We read the text to create your study material and don't keep the original file. Only the generated result is saved, so you can open it again from its share link.
Can I trust the answers?
The AI is told to use only what's in your material, which keeps it accurate most of the time, but it can still make mistakes. Check anything important against your notes or textbook.
Does it work in other languages?
Yes. The result is written in the same language as the material you give it.
